Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Francesca Gavieres is a multidisciplinary artist with focuses in sculpture, painting, drawing, and audiovisuals. She completed her studies and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art in 2023, and received the Carin Tendler Lurkis Award for Excellence in Painting. At the end of her years in college, she had self-installed personally selected work for her senior thesis titled "Que La Tierra Va A Temblar," which exhibited work focusing on stereotypes of Puerto Ricans and Filipinos created within the United States of America, while simultaneously thinking about their history specific to New York. She continues to create work in the exploration of this idea.
